On Friday, October 14th, Douglas Road students showed us how it’s done. While voter turn out for these municipal elections was poor across the province, with every race seeing less than half of the eligible voters casting ballots, across the province, more than 90% of Douglas Road classrooms participated in this year’s Student Vote! AND only one school in our entire distric cast more votes than Douglas Road! Being a small school, that means that almost every student here voted and those who did also voted for a full set of candidates for school board and for city council.
