Student Absence Reporting

All elementary schools in Burnaby practices SafeArrival. This means if a child is marked absent, and the office has not been contacted by parents &/or guardians advising of the absence/tardiness, a phone call will be made to ensure the child’s safety.

Please let the office know If your child will be absent, late, or picked up early, even if you have already advised the teacher, so that the office does not bother you at home/work.

Notify us by an email or phone call.

Please include the following details:

  • Child(ren)’s Name(s)
  • Teacher/Division
  • Dates/times
  • Reason for Absence

Please note that you are required to contact the school each day your child is absent, even if they were reported sick the previous day, unless you indicated a date range that your child will be away in a previous communication. This is for safety purposes.

Students are expected to sign-in at the office if they are late so we can correct the attendance record.
