Douglas Road Elementary would like to acknowledge and thank the Beedie Group (@beediebuilt). The Beedie Group and their employees give generously of their time and money to support community, and inparticular Douglas Road. Most recently they donated $27,000.00 to the Fortius Foundation. This gift means that four Douglas Road intermediate classes will be able to participate in the Fortius KidsMove Schools Health and Fitness program. On April 29th we will also have the opportunity for all of our staff to receive professional development in the areas of health and fitness from KidsMove professionals. The school will also receive a significant gift of sports equipment to support the program on an ongoing basis in the school. Thank you Beedie!
